Welcome to my homepage!
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher, working with Prof. Michael J. Black, at the Perceiving Systems department, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Germany.
I received my PhD degree in Applied Mathematics at École Centrale Paris, under the supervision of Prof. Nikos Paragios. During my PhD studies, I was also a member of the GALEN group, which is a joint research team between ECP and INRIA Saclay.
After that, I was a postdoctoral researcher, working with Prof. Stefano Soatto, at the Vision Lab, University of California, Los Angeles, until March 2013.
My reasearch interests consist of Computer Vision, Optimization methods, and Machine Learning. Currently I am focusing on graphical models, in particular their applications to computer vision and medical imaging problems.

When I was 18 years old, I went to Xi'an (one of the oldest cities in China)
to start my college life in Xi'an Jiaotong University.
I obtained my bachelor's degree after four years of studies there.
Following that, I went to France in 2004 to pursue my studies and also to learn more about western countries and cultures.
I obtained an engineer's degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) from Université de Technologie de Troyes,
and an M.Sc. degree from École Centrale Paris/École Normale Supérieure de Cachan.
Due to a great interest in research and teaching, I started my PhD studies at École Centrale Paris in 2007 and recevied my PhD degree in 2011.
